~ Emerging Artist Showcase ~

Sunday, May 5, 2024

Holy Cross Church, 7 pm FREE!

Generously Sponsored by Dean Silvers

Our 11th. annual presentation features the top laureates of our Youth Chamber Music Competition. The 2024 winners will perform a variety of Baroque and Classical music, and receive their cash awards onstage.

We’re certain you’ll be amazed at the quality of our winners, who year after year far exceed the limited expectations some may hold. Simply put, young musicians can be astonishing performers.

Guided in their interpretation by experienced coaches who are themselves wonderful musicians, they are capable of communicating musical ideas of the masters with great fluency, responsiveness, and grace. Combining the vigor and enthusiasm of youth and a spirit of healthy competition, the Showcase presents an evening of breathtaking performances. It is also a chance to support the festival and its efforts to uplift emerging artists.

Admission Free, donations welcome

The Board of Directors dedicated the Santa Cruz Baroque Festival’s 51st Season, Legacies, to honor our founder and artistic director Linda Berman-Hall, who died suddenly on August 21, 2023 while attending a conference in Malaysia. It was her vision and boundless energy that has allowed SCBF to present excellent, historically informed performances of early music to the Santa Cruz community for decades. It is our hope you will share this expedition through musical time with your generous support for the future of the Santa Cruz Baroque Festival.

Go past Alladin to the next immediate right between El Vaquero Winery and Jacobs Farm big red barns. The event lot will be a short distance on your right, behind the main Alladin Nursery & Gift Shop. Please, no parking in the front lot.
