The Baroque Festival's upcoming Fall Organ Concert features the Ariose Singers in concert with trumpet soloist Guy Clarke, and organists Bruce Sawhill and Linda Burman-Hall. This event takes place on November 20, 2010, at Holy Cross Church, starting at 7:30 pm. Since 2001 the Ariose Singers have presented exhilarating vocal music from the Renaissance to Modern Days. The group is currently under the direction of Mickey McGushin, who is widely regarded in the community for his tireless work as pianist, director, vocal coach, and composer with a variety of groups. This collaborative presentation with the Baroque Festival’s Artistic Director Linda Burman-Hall and organist Bruce Sawhill will feature music for choir and organ from the early to late Baroque period, complemented by the regal ambience of Santa Cruz’s historic Holy Cross Church and pipe organ.
Admission is $20 and all proceeds benefit our upcoming 38th concert season, 'Endangered Musics' (February through May). Tickets are available here. (Tickets for youth may be purchased for $2 at the door only.)
